Anger, although a very strong emotion is very taxing upon human hosts. Fenwick's momentary surge of rage was no exception, and soon gave way to immense grief. The fountains of his deep soul opened up. Any dam he had placed in their way, any dike of self-respect gave out, and the rain of the soul streamed from his eyes. True, like nature's deluges, those of the soul refreshes, but the downpour must come first before one sees how the grass has become more lush or the trees more vibrant...
