I've always derived enjoyment from drawing older chaps. The song "from yesterday" comes to mind "..on his face is a map of the world..."

Anywho this fellow was going to be a warmup sketch, but ended up taking most of the day. :-)

So, my buddy is writing a book and wanted me to do some pictures for it. The fire type stuff in the one pic i'm not too thrilled about... maybe I'll finagle it more later.

Day 1 of the Sketchbook

So I'd been thinking about starting a blog for a while, maybe to keep me accountable to stay drawing, or just a random diversion for my mind, not sure really. Anyway I thought I'd start with a few sketches just to get it rolling...
I'd like to make my posts equal parts traditional and digital, so we'll see how it goes :-)
