Love and War

Saw an epic music video by the band Leave's Eyes, and there was a scene similar to this therein. I subsequently felt compelled to draw it. :-)

A new painting...

This piece was loosely inspired by David Kassan's work... :-)

Worlds Collide... :-)

Knight Sketch...

Victory!

Far better is it to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checkered by failure, than to rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy no suffer much, because they live in a gray twilight that know not victory nor defeat. -Theodore Roosevelt

Draco

Looking through Kekai Kotaki's art inspired this bit of doodling...

Archway

Trying to add a bit of atmosphere to my landscapes.... :-)

Contemplation...

A day spent without the sight or sound of beauty, the contemplation of mystery, or the search of truth or perfection is a poverty-stricken day; and a succession of such days is fatal to human life.

-Lewis Mumford

Pan

Me? I've had so many names. Old names that only the wind and
the trees can pronounce. I am the mountain, the forest and the earth.
I am... I am a faun. Your most humble servant, Your Highness.

A little Pan's Labyrinth fan art... :-)

Dark Knight Rises

Caricature

Feeling a little like caricature art recently... Twas great fun to do :-)

Who will deliver me from this body of death?

Illustration of Romans 7

The eye is the lamp of the body...

An illustration of Matthew 6:22-23 :-)

Write them on the tablet of your heart...

An attempt to illustrate Proverbs 3:3. The peculiar squarish, labyrinthine  shapes are meant to indicate the logic of Proverbs. The cracks across the body and the screwed on tablet are an attempt to show the imperfect vessel of clay and the often imperfect way we apply the Bible to our lives...

Daulity

It's always tricky to portray a concept. This one is an attempt to convey the duality of humankind and how our sinful nature is still there seeking evil, while the redeemed spirit filled side seeks the good...

Scribbling

Saw some epic works done in this style and felt rather compelled to give it a shot. :-)

Portrait Practice

Started this as a pencil sketch, but had so much fun with it that I had to take it a little further... :-)

Founder and Perfecter

fragments...

This one was just fun all the way through... :-)
